why my wife rocks
I decided to give my wife some recognition for her hard work. I thought the best way to do that was blog about all the great things she does. So, here are the reasons why my wife rocks.

Back in the swing
Time to get mobile! I am posting now from my phone, so updated should be more often. Today Amy made awesome creepy crawlers for dinner!

I still find it amazing that 9 years ago I sang this to you in Helen, Georgia: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qx3EQQQ6yjM&feature=youtube_gdata_player
That was the night I asked you to marry me, you just didn't know it yet, but I had already made up my mnd.

Pi Day
Marrying a highly intelligent woman has its up sides. For one, she makes me Key Lime Pie for Pi Day. I wonder if she wants me to cook for Mole Day?

Working On It
Still trying to get back in the saddle here. Mmm, homemade stir fry. I had no idea that you could make stir fry taste good at home until I married Amy. I had bought those "stir fry in a bag" things at Kroger, dumped them in a frying pan and called it dinner. Amy actually knows HOW to make stir fry. Who knew that the ingredients have go cook in order? She even went to extra mile for a nice presentation at the table. Ian just wanted to eat the peanuts, but that is okay.
Still recovering from last week's fun with my Dad's heart attack. Amy was a trooper and put up with me being gone most of the week at the hospital, getting home late, and being a grumpy schmuck in general. Did I mention she is 8 months pregnant and herding a 2-year old all day? No idea how she does it.

Wow
I spent the last few days playing Mr. Mom. Wow. Anyone that doubts that a stay-at-home mom works for a living needs to come spend a few days looking after a toddler. I now understand why so many people just turn on the TV and park their kid in front of it. It takes a lot of effort to actively engage a two year old. It takes even more effort to be patient (something I am working on). It was fun though and I know Ian enjoyed having Dad at home. Thanks Amy for keeping the home front going, it is definitely a bigger job than I imagined.

It has been a while
Time to get this blog back on track. We'll start simple.
Mmm, homemade bread and pork roast for dinner. Not sure how she made time to make bread yesterday considering everything was in complete chaos. She is also working on getting the house in shape. Did I mention she is 7 month pregnant? I am amazed at what she gets done while simultaneously potty training our son, running rental properties, and taking care of me. Amazing.
